🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 Five stars for this place in Chicago called Reina's Cakes! Our family visited them and tried several different cakes, and every single one was fresh, beautifully made, and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the people were incredibly kind. You can tell they put a lot of time, care, and craftsmanship into every cake/design. As small business owners ourselves, we know the dedication it takes,the hard work and the investment behind it all, especially with costs these days. So we truly appreciate the fair pricing and the heart behind the work. For sure a returning customer!! Ordered a sugar free chocolate cake for my MIL and it was delicious! Reina was so so so sweet and great to talk to when I went to go pick it up. The cake was beautifully decorated and tasted like regular cake but without sugar! We were all really impressed and glad to help out a locally-owned Puerto Rican business ran by a Latina. Their menu was also very inclusive of people with sensitivities, like myself, which makes me eager to come back and try their other deserts. Communication was great as well and prices were reasonable.

Not a fan of the cakes but definitely a supporter of the journey. The red velvet cake was dry and the cream cheese icing tasted like chemicals. The coconut cake was okay. Yellow cake w/ whipped cream icing and coconut shavings on top. The whipped cream icing was delicious! and I had the opportunity to meet the owner. Wonderful personality and excellent customer service! She offered some free samples. Everyone was warm and welcoming. Highlight were all the photos of individuals that support! Beautiful sight to see.

Okay so I am giving this place 3 stars cause I don't think it was horrible but also not great. So I am a pretty easy person to please. I usually don't go anywhere expecting great so that I'm not disappointed now with that being said. Owner I will say is amazing. She is friendly, greeted right when we came in. Asked if we been there before was caring. But ultimately it's about the cakes. We bought 2 and had some samples that she kindly gave us. Now we bought a red velvet cake and coconut. My girl tried the red Velvet tried both she said red velvet icing taste okay store bought. The coconut was okay honest it was just a basic cake I could've made at home with some whipped icing only flavor of coconut was the coconut shaving drizzled on top. The price of $10 for a small cake is what makes this rating lower for that price I expect better. I don't mind paying high price for great quality. So sure go if you want to go for the experience of just saying you went but definitely not a place that I would go back.

ordered for the first time for my birthday and all I asked Reina was to make it pretty and scooby doo related and she delivered! I loved the spray paint effect on the sides, and it was so delicious it was demolished in less than a week
